Before the startup
- Counterintuitive: Consider partners' advice, even if it seems counterintuitive.
- Expertise: Understand your users and solve their problems, and not in be an expert on startups.
- Game: Don't look for a trick. Make something that people want, and you will succeed only to the extent that you do.
- All-Consuming: Starting a startup will engulf your life in ways you can't fathom, and if it thrives, that engulfment will persist for an extended duration.
- Idea: Allow startup ideas to form organically in your mind without conscious awareness.
- Try: If you're absolutely terrified of launching a startup, it's wise to reconsider. But if you're merely unsure and curious, the only way to dispel doubts is through action.
"Starting a startup is like a brutally fast depth-first search."
- Sam Altman
