This week we announced the winners of the Appwrite Cloud Hackathon. We were genuinely amazed by so many impressive projects that caught our eye during the event. Participants created fully functioning applications in just four weeks, resulting in over 300 submissions. Although only a select few made it to the podium, we want to highlight some of our team's favorite projects that deserve to be showcased. These projects made good use of Appwrite features, showing what you can do with the platform in such a short space of time.

Revolutionizing Designing Emails: No Code Email Builder is a web application built by Vishal Lohar that can be used to create business email designs. These emails can be further exported in HTML for your favorite newsletter or email service.
This web app provides 10 different Email elements that you can use to create an email that works for your business. Some elements are Heading, Button, Iframe, Image, and more.

- Expensasaurus
Paving the Way to Financial Freedom: Expensasaurus is an application developed by Vishwajeet Raj using Appwrite's Storage, Databases, and Authentication features. Its aim is to empower users on their journey to achieving financial freedom. By leveraging Appwrite's capabilities, this app provides effective tools for managing expenses and promoting financial well-being. The project demonstrates how Appwrite can be utilized to create applications that empower individuals in their personal finance endeavours.

Tracking API Usage Made Easy: Metorik, built by Adil using Appwrite's Databases and Authentication features, simplifies the task of tracking API usage. This application provides a comprehensive and user-friendly interface for monitoring and analyzing API performance. With Appwrite's support, Metorik offers a valuable resource for developers and businesses in optimizing their API usage.
- Style lens
Elevating the Shopping Experience: Style Lens is an exceptional application built by Kunal Tiwari that revolutionizes the shopping experience using AI technology. By integrating Appwrite's Functions, Databases, and Authentication features, Style Lens enhances users' ability to make informed purchase decisions. From personalized recommendations to smart shopping insights, this project showcases the fusion of Appwrite and AI, creating a truly remarkable experience for shoppers.

- IoT-based Smart Pet Feeder
Helping pets be fed on time: A smart pet feeder is an IoT-enabled device that dispenses food on a schedule, tracks a pet's eating habits, and sends reminders to refill food or water. It is a device developed by Jyoti Chetry that can be connected to the internet and controlled via a mobile app or web browser.

Milestones Achieved
The Appwrite Cloud Hackathon was a great success, attracting a diverse range of talented developers and showcasing their skills. The quality of the projects submitted was truly impressive. The Hackathon provided an opportunity for participants to be creative, collaborate with like-minded individuals, and to explore what Appwrite's features can do.
Just like our participants, the Cloud Hackathon helped us get to some amazing milestones! We had

- An average of 25.65M requests in Appwrite Cloud 🤯
- A total bandwidth of 269.8 GB, 37.97M documents and 437.4K files processed during the hackathon week! 🤯
