1 - Register in Google Maps content partners
All downloads will go through the Content Partners panel. This is a special place where you can upload databases with geographical information.
1 - Click on the link and click “Start": https://contentpartners.maps.google.com/
2 - Then you fill out the registration form. Private and public organizations can upload data.:
3 - After passing all the stages, the information loading panel opens in front of you. This is where you will upload information to Google Maps:
4 - On the tab “My Uploads” you will be able to see all the times when you uploaded the database to Google Maps. The upload date and the current status (used/not used/in processing) will be visible there:
5 - After your click to point with uploads you will see detailed information about the upload. Also at the bottom you will see all the questions that you have asked to technical support and the answers of technical support:
6 - To upload a new database, you will need to click on this section (but we will tell you more about the upload process below):
2 - How to add a building to Google Maps
2.1 - Create database for uploading to google
1 - Click on the link: https://mymaps.google.com/
2 - Click on the “Create a new map” button:
3 - A map opens in front of us, on which we can put any object. Here you can change the name of the map itself and the name of the feature layer:
4 - To switch the map to the “Satellite View” format, click here:
5 - After that we find a place that is not on the map. For example, we saw that this building is not on Google Maps:
6 - Now we need to click here and select this item:
7 - We circle this building around the perimeter:
8 - Now we have an object:
9 - Write the name of the object. The name does not affect anything, it will not appear anywhere. It is used just for you:
10 - After saving, the name of the object will appear here:
11 - Now we need to unload the database. To do this, click here and select “KML/KMZ”:
12 - Click the check mark and click “download”:
Now you have a ready-made database that we can upload to Google!
2.2 - Uploading the database to the Google Maps Content Panel
1 - Go to the Google Maps Content Panel account we have already created: https://contentpartners.maps.google.com/
2 - Click here:
3 - Enter the name of the downloaded file here. It will not appear on Google Maps. Write it so that it is clear to you:
4 - Next, click on the item “Data type“ and select ”Buildings":
5 - In this large window you can give an explanation to the experts who will check your information. For example, I usually write to them in English and give them links to a resource where they can check my data.
For example:
6 - Then click “Next" and get to the upload page. Click here to select the KML file that we just downloaded from Google My Maps:
7 - After the file is selected, click “Submit” and file will go for checking:
8 - Then we wait until Google checks everything. After the verification is completed, support of Google will send you an email. Google can check your files from a few days to 3-4 weeks, so be patient.

3 - How to add address of building to Google Maps
3.1 - Create database with addresses
1 - Go to link: https://mymaps.google.com/
2 - Push to button “Create new map”:
3 - A map opens in front of us, on which we can put any object. Here you can change the name of the map itself and the name of the feature layer:
4 - To switch the map to the “Satellite View” format, click here:
5 - After that, we find the building to which we want to assign an address (it is best to look for it on a satellite map):
6 - Now we need to click here and select this item:
7 - Then we circle this building around the perimeter:
8 - Now we have an object:
9 - Now we will need to add the necessary information to the description. You can find a list of mandatory and additional information for downloading the address here (in the section "Address points (Geocodes)")
*10 - Required information for assigning an address to a building is:

--- Street name - ST_NAME
--- House number - ST_NUM
All other values are optional and do not affect the speed of assigning an address to a building in any way.
11 - So now you need to copy these values (exactly in this form):

12 - And then paste them here and enter your own values:
13 - After that, we change the word “object” to the house number (just write a number):
14 - And click “Save”:
15 - After saving, the name of the object will appear here:
16 - Now we need to download the database with this address. To do this, click here and select “KML/KMZ”:
17 - Click the check mark and click “download”:
Now you have a database with address of this building, that we can upload to Google!
3.2 - Upload the database with address into the Google Maps content panel

3 - Enter the name of the uploaded file here. It will not appear on Google Maps. Write it so that it only to you:
4 - Next, click on the item “Data type“ and select ”Geocodes":

7 - After the file is selected, click “submit” and it will go for checking:
8 - Then we wait until Google checks everything. After the verification is completed, support of Google will send you an email. Google can check your files from a few days to 3-4 weeks, so be patient.
4 - How to add road and walkway to Google Maps
4.1 - Creating a database in Google My Maps
1 - Click on the link: https://mymaps.google.com/
2 - Click on the “Create a new map” button:
3 - A map opens in front of us, on which we can put any object. Here you can change the name of the map itself and the name of the feature layer:
4 - To switch the map to the “Satellite View” format, click here:
5 - After that we find the place on the satellite map where there is not exist the road:
6 - Now we need to click here and select this item:
7 - Then we draw the road:
8 - Now we have an object:
9 - Write the name of the object. The name does not matter, it will not appear anywhere, write the name only for you:
10 - After saving, the name of the object will appear here:
11 - Now we need to download database with this road. To do this, click here and select “KML/KMZ”:
12 - Click the check mark and click “download”:
13 - Now we have a database with the coordinates of our road!
3.2 - Upload the database with road into the Google Maps content panel
1 - Go to the Google Maps Content Panel account we have already created: https://contentpartners.maps.google.com/
2 - Click here:
3 - Enter the name of the uploaded file here. It will not appear on Google Maps. Will text this name of file just for yourself:
4 - Next, click on the item “Data type“ and select ”Roads":
5 - If you are upload walkway for people select the “Trails” type:
6 - In this large window you can give an explanation to the experts who will check your information. For example, I usually write to them in English and give them links to a resource where they can check the data. For example:
7 - Then click “Next" and get to the upload page. Click here to select the KML file that we just downloaded from Google My Maps:
8 - After the file is selected, click “submit” and it will go for checking:
9 - Then we wait until Google checks everything. The terms, as previously written, are up to 4 weeks. After drawing the highway on your map, in about 2 weeks Google Navigator will use it to build routes.
4 - Verification of your data by Google Maps
1 - After downloading, your files will have the status “Under review”:
2 - Google can check your files from a few days to 3-4 weeks.
3 - After your information is verified, Google will send you the information by e-mail (which you specified during registration)
4 - If your changes are approved, then your upload will get the status “In use”, if not, then “Not used”:
5 - Also keep in mind that there is a time lag between the fact that your changes will receive the status "In use" and the fact that they will be displayed on the map. This period can be from a few days to several weeks, so do not worry if you suddenly do not see your changes on the general Google map for a long time.
