I think majority of Firebase alternatives offer free plans. Likewise, Back4App as an alternative to Firebase grants 25k requests, 1 GB data storage and transfer under its free plan. Even you don't need any credit card to insert to proceed with its free plan.
Although you can explore several other alternatives here but Parse platform is also entirely free to use with MongoDB and Node.js support. Yes, it doesn't ask for any charges for licensing. Similarly, AWS Amplify and Kuzzle also come with free tier.
Maybe Appwrite. I've seen articles around that say it's an open-source alternative to firebase. I haven't used myself, so I don't know much about it.
But it seems to be a self hosted solution. 😔
Auth and Database have different places to look for. However, MongoDB Realm is another option.
Both being in seperate places doesn't seems to be a problem.🥰
