Do you often write your articles on Google Docs, Notion or Medium and then have to manually convert it to markdown to post on dev.to?

I totally agree! It was very difficult for me to get followers. I started promoting my articles on Twitter to get some traffic and submitted to some publications. But you are totally correct that it is very hard. Compared to medium, dev.to gives good traffic.
I don't think this is true. I think they just transfer it back to your own account.
The paywall is so annoying. I am tired of opening everything in incognito. Moreover, traffic decreases as soon as your article is paid. Not everyone has a subscription! However, I think the recommendations are very addictive and curated which justifies the price point. I think they should have country wise prices to be honest, I'm in India and the value of $ is very high for me!
