October is here, and that means Hacktoberfest is back! Whether you're new to coding or a pro, this is your chance to dive into the open-source world, contribute to real projects, and join a global community of developers.

In this article, I’ll highlight the events, open source tips and some cool projects to take part in this Hacktoberfest. Ready to code, collaborate, and have some fun? Let’s get started!

Hacktoberfest

Hacktoberfest is a month-long event where anyone, from beginners to pros, can dive into open-source projects! It’s all about coding, collaborating, and making a real impact during the month of October.

Whether you’re looking to learn or contribute, Hacktoberfest is the perfect way to be part of the global developer community! This year, Hacktoberfest is supported by DigitalOcean, Cloudflare, and Quira.

How to participate:

  • Register on the Hacktoberfest website.

  • Find repositories with the “Hacktoberfest” label on GitHub or GitLab and get involved.

  • Make four valid pull requests (PRs) before October 31st.

Few important considerations:

  • Everyone is welcome

  • Quantity is fun, quality is key

  • Short-term action, long-term impact

Tips and Resources for Open Source 1st Timers🙌🏼
