I would like to show you my first extension that I've created for VS Code some time ago - a color theme called Aurora Borealis.
It is an elegant dark theme featuring two hand-picked color variations: Main and Calm. You can preview each of them by clicking the button under the screenshots below.

To install this theme in your VS Code instance:
- Press
Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+P, type Color Theme and select Preferences: Color Theme - In the dark themes section, select Aurora Borealis or Aurora Borealis Calm

Well, it all depends on your personal preferences.
You can navigate to vscodethemes.com/?type=dark and check dark themes available in VS Code.
