I have a question. What are freelance platforms missing for developers & designers?

For the past few days i have been looking through fiverr.com & freelancer.com. I was going through the forums to be a freelancer. But there is so much information they want you to input. I just gave up. I'm wondering if others had this experience & if there was another freelance platform what would you want from that specific platform?
