For ages storing images in relationship databases was considered is a bad practice. It slows database, it makes replication, backup and retrieving more complicated. But recently I became a part of a new project and noticed that pictures are stored as blob there. The application is designed rather big and scalable so I wonder if it still not properly or something changed nowadays?
