What I Built

I created an innovative travel planning solution using Twilio Functions, WhatsApp, and Gemini. This application allows users to effortlessly plan their trips by interacting with a WhatsApp chatbot. Users can get real-time travel suggestions, receive travel tips, and manage all within their WhatsApp interface. Leveraging the robust capabilities of Twilio Functions, the bot integrates AI services and provides a seamless user experience.

Twilio and AI

To enhance the functionality and intelligence of the travel planner, I integrated Twilio’s capabilities with AI. Using Twilio’s Programmable Messaging API, the bot communicates with users via WhatsApp. Twilio Functions enable serverless execution of backend processes, ensuring efficient and scalable performance. For AI, Gemini’s natural language processing (NLP) capabilities help in understanding user queries, providing relevant travel information, and making intelligent suggestions based on user preferences and behavior.
