Being a part of the community and building relationships has been one of the best parts of being a developer advocate. I have been a front end developer since the mid-90's and specialize in different aspects of the front end.
I was recently working as a DA at Split Software. I built the DevRel program from the ground up. I formulated all DevRel strategies for FY23 & FY24 as well as set up processes to track and document metrics and successes.
While at Split I was regarded as one of the top prolific writers in the org. I also adopted other forms of content that they weren't using prior to me signing on (Twitch Streams and Twitter Spaces).
Having the background as a developer, I feel I can relate and empathize with the developer community when it comes to problems, setbacks, and bottlenecks. I aim to be the best bridge I can be between the product and the developer; helping them a long the way as much as I can.
Below you can find a list of some of the contributions to the community I have achieved.

I met Chris at my very first conference as a speaker. This was my first community event where I didn't know anyone except from socials. He was welcoming and a pleasure to be around.
Since then I have seen his creative approach to devrel while at Split and been inspired by his passion about accessibility. He is authentic and driven which shines through his work and interactions with everyone in the community.
If you are reading the comments and hiring, you should absolutely get to know Chris. He would be a great addition to your team.
