Looking into GenAI

GenAI is a framework implementing design principles with the help of artificial intelligence. I decided to look into GenAI because it helps me learn as to how we can design interfaces with the help of AI. AI is a tool meant to help and assist our abilities, but not replace them. GenAI has 6 key dimensions: discovery, assisting, exploration, refinement, trust, and mastery. Not all dimensions will be used for generating design and all function independently from one another.

1. Discovery
   GenAI helps users recognize when AI is being in use or not, therefore providing users the freedom to do what they want while providing assistance if they so choose.

2. Assisting
   GenAI provides suggestions and templates to allow users to creatively explore while having assistance at their disposal. GenerativeAI shifts from structured guidance to autonomous discovery.

3. Exploration
   Gen AI allows users to explore their creativity by blending with AI whenever desired. GenAI emphasizes the fluidity of interaction between users and GenAI by facilitating a dialogue that can distill complex data into actionable insights or creative outputs. GenAI can be used as a tool for users to take creative leaps and make innovative solutions to their discoveries.

4. Refinement
   GenAI refines its platforms by providing intuitive customization options that align the AI’s output with their specific needs and vision. GenAI is capable of replicating an individual's tone, voice, and style. These tools can help a user tune their product however they see fit.

5. Trust
   GenAI establishes trust amongst users using its platform and services. This is done so that users know that they have an intelligent assistant whenever they need it. Users will have the knowledge to navigate their GenAI experience with confidence. GenAI permits its users to ignore and undo suggestive actions allowing users to confidently use its services thanks to its collaborative features. These features prevent the AI from overwhelming its users.

6. Mastery
   GenAI's features are mainly exploited by AI engineers because of its complexity. It aims to simplify tedious code but it is still hard to navigate nonetheless. In the Mastery dimension, a deep understanding of GenAI allows room for improvement, pushing designers to create with both precision and conscience. GenAI can collaborate with users and allow them to make changes to its services. This would allow humans to co-design with machines to shape a user's experience in the tech world.
