Alright, I know these posts are annoying but I just wanted to express how great this platform is & thank everyone for making it grow so much week after week.
I've been able to improve on my technical writing skills & share some things I'm passionate about. Here are some people I look up to, motivating me to improve post after post, either because they teach a whole lot or because they have a positive influence on our community:

Congrats! I think more impressive than the 10k followers are your 4.5k reactions with just 20 posts. That's a very good metric to indicate the value your brought to the platform.
Thank you so much Alberto ! You're really kind to say that π
Followers are mostly a vanity metric, but I like to watch them rise too, haha. π
As much as I appreciate your point of view I have to say you're reading too much into this.
I agree that writing for likes & follows is a bad habit and leads to click-bait articles & a lesser quality, but refusing to show how well your articles did isn't a solution: I want to know if the hours / days I spent writing something paid off by having it be read by as many as possible. It's common sense to me and I don't think imposing your solution to everyone is healthy nor fair.
This is more about celebrating people I appreciate and thanking everyone, and if this bunch of "pixels and bytes" annoys you, then you can always scroll further and avoid it. It shouldn't ruffle your feathers so much.
Again, thanks for the input, I'm sure others share your point of view, but I find it a little unfair.
Congrats man! That's a great milestone!
Thank you Fernando !
Congratulations and welcome to the 10k club π¬
