I used not to take breaks during the holidays and would code as much as I could. However, after getting in December 2020 I learned the value of taking a break since I wasn't able to code during this time. After that, I now take coding breaks during the holidays.
For several years, I've been taking advantage of the holidays to get in my extra coding (and other dev rel) time. I've also learned to do it at "off peak" times with the family. Granted, my kids are grown & married so it's not as big of a deal to sneak off and get in that extra work.
Code reprieve for this year. In fact, I'm doing it differently than previous years and taking a break from all kinds of work for the holidays and new year's eve.
I need to finish the countdown website for the New Year section. After that, I might need some rest.
