We are thrilled to announce the expansion of its service offerings to include a broad analytics engineering function, marking a significant step in its commitment to drive customer success in the digital age.
In the rapidly evolving field of data, the role of analytics engineering has come to the forefront. This function serves as a crucial bridge between engineering and analyst roles, utilizing engineering best practices to deliver clean, transformed datasets ready for analysis. The arrival of analytics engineering is a testament to the increasing maturity of data literacy and analytics across all functions of a modern digital organisation.
With this new analytics engineering offering, we aim to enable organisations to improve speed-to-insight to match business needs - which are vital in today's fast-paced digital world - while upholding data transformation best practices for maintainability and performance. By reducing the number of time-consuming iterations and solving the bottleneck that often burdens central data teams and data engineers, we aim to deliver streamlined and efficient data insights. This approach aligns perfectly with the data mesh methodology, further enhancing our ability to create value for its clients.
To ensure the success of this initiative, we plan to grow this team to at least 20 members by the end of the year. The team will be spearheaded by Kevin Missoorten, Head of Strategy, and Sam Debruyn, Tech Lead Data & Cloud. Positioning the analytics engineering team within the Data Strategy business unit underscores Dataroots' dedication to recognizing the essential and business-focused role of analytics engineering in generating business-relevant value.
Dataroots' strategic alliances with dbt Labs, Prefect, Snowflake, and MotherDuck, along with its longstanding partnerships with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform, will serve to strengthen this endeavour. These collaborations will be leveraged to deliver maximum value to clients, strengthening Dataroots' commitment to providing superior data solutions.
