Listing a collection of music that helps you stay focused when studying

πŸ‘‹ Hey folks, how are you doing all today? Today let's list down our study collections that help us stay focused when studying. Maybe your collection might inspire someone here. Back then, I used to listen to music when studying but I would always end up dancing to the lyrics which slowed down my productivity. I searched for some collections to stay focused and. I realised that when studying, you do not need a song or a track that has lyrics. Obviously, you will end up being distracted by the lyrics.

Lyrics come with different emotions. Some of the time you will end up being depressed because you are using a depressing track to study. I found the solution for my studying and that is Lofi Beats

I also use this YouTube channel for my study music. I usually use this list here when starting to study because it totally distracts my mind from everything else and stay focused.

What is your go-to music for study? Please share in the comments let's promote focus⬇️

Lofi is great, I'm a particular big fan of Nourish and Ghibli-inspired stations. Other go-tos include:

  • Anything by Bach (with an emphasis on organ/harpsichord fugues/inventions/sinfonias)
  • Mozart and Beethoven piano concertos
  • This 1h20m-long loop of one of my favorite Chrono Trigger pieces, in a lofi mix with rain in the background: youtube.com/watch?v=5RfqB76eHTQ
  • Sleeping At Last, for a dose of therapy
  • Soundtracks, particularly a variety of Zimmer (Interstellar, Dune), M83 (Oblivion), Daft Punk (Tron: Legacy)

Bonus points for Tommee Profitt, Death Cab, Kishi Bashi, Carmina Burana, Yoko Kanno, Chris Stapleton, and Blues/R&B/Soul (early John Mayer, Charles Bradley, Brian Owens).

I don't normally listen to music while doing anything, but recently I've been listening to Mac Miller (RIP) while doing random computer-related things. If I do choose to listen to music specifically while I study, it'll probably be something classical.

Classical music is also a great choice for studying; it's often soothing and can help with concentration.
