I am starting a series to share tweets that are encouraging to developers in order to boast their productivity somehow. I am not sure how often I will be doing this, but this is part 1. I am doing it because I notice a lot of people like it when I wrote How Many Tutorials Before I become a Pro? - Newbie Asks.
My major targets are the newbies. I hope you enjoy it.

Catalin Pit@catalinmpitAre you looking to get some clients or some coding practice?
Find small businesses that have ugly websites, and create better ones. Email them and offer them your work for money.
Do they accept? You practiced and you made money. If not, at least you exercised.

When I was building MyGrade I had no phone, my laptop lasts for 10min and was slow. When ever I implement a feature or make changes I go to my friend's house to test it on his phone because my PC couldn't load the emulator. I was basically a mobile developer without a 'mobile' ๐คก twitter.com/FashDami/statuโฆ15:46 PM - 24 May 2020Fasoranti Damilola @FashDamiWhat did you do, that looked crazy, because you were thirsty and hungry for personal growth?

If you pick a project, before you will complete it, you will have done a number of research outside a particular tutorial series.

Learning to code but can't think of a project to build?
Build whatever you want!
Build:
*Dog grooming site
*Sport team site
*Ice cream store
*Lawn care service
*Fake YouTubers site
*Portfolio site
You aren't going to cure cancer here, you need practice so build!

Following tutorials is not enough to be a great developer. You get much more value by taking what you learn and customizing it, adding to it, making it better, making it your own.

You will make it!

Being a good developer is a marathon, not a sprint. You won't become an amazing coder over night.
What you can do, is being persistent. Put in the hours every day for a period of time, and the skills will come. Anyone can get there. Don't rush it.

There are many things you'll only learn once you get a job.
There's NO WAY you'll learn it all before finding a job!
So stop saying "I don't know enough to start applying!" If you can make websites, start applying!
You will never become a developer if you wait.

James Tucker ๐@tucker_devI didnโt write my first HTML until I was 27.
Thereโs no shame in starting late!
Itโs unreasonable to expect everyone to know what their calling is when theyโre only 18.
When youโre older, you have a much better idea of what kind of work fits your skills and personality.

Dear developer,
Nothing is ever 100% perfect. Donโt put pressure on yourself.
If your favorite apps and APIs were perfect, there wouldnโt be need for app updates and versioning wouldnโt be a thing because it would have been perfect from day one.
