Hehe the intention was not to make you have to affirm that you do care π.
I donβt mind if peopleβs personal sites have issues, as long as somewhere on the massive list of things we all want to do on our personal sites accessibility is on the list. (And I hope this article pushes accessibility a little higher on the list π
Haha no I understood you, now we are in the realm where my sarcasm didn't translate! It keeps getting me in trouble as you can't hear the tone of my voice and I am a sarcastic so and so π€£ Love the passion!!!!
I never gave importance to Accessibility, I think I should, thanks for the inspirations.
Given the epic listicles you post I hope to see a "200 accessibility hacks" article coming out in the near future ππ€£π€£
No articles will be above your posts..
Awww shucks you are making me blush! π hehe.
By the way any book or articles that will guide to implement Accessibility in web development.
I tend to point people to wuhcag.com/wcag-checklist/ as it makes WCAG a lot easier to follow / understand.
Then I would say a11yproject.com/checklist/ and a lot of the other resources on that site are good to get started with.
Then sadly it is difficult (hence why I have put together a content plan around accessibility) so it is a case of reading a load of blogs: digitala11y.com/accessibility-blogs/ has a list of loads of blogs to follow.
Now I have a place to clear doubt about accessibility, you. thank you
Not an issue, FYI you always have a place to clear doubt, just drop me a message, I am always happy to offer some advice / guidance!
fantastic article, here in brazil there are accessibility laws, but even de government don't give a f*ck, which is incredibly frustrating, because my brother have visual disability and still strugle with screen readers output, always confusing or with a lot of missinformation or even none information at all.
TBH i'm ashamed, that as a developer, for many times i did not contribute to change it, even for my brother. there are no excuses for it, they will say, "it's not our priority", "we can do it later", "we have to achieve in time to market"... then accessiblity falls by the wayside again in every project.
It is similar here in the UK, we have the laws, everybody ignores them.
It is why I am trying to change the perspective from βyou must think about accessibilityβ to βthinking about accessibility benefits youβ.
I am working on a series to help developers put accessibility higher up the priority list by helping them persuade their boss / clients that it is in their benefits...watch this space and we will see if it is any good! π
Thank you for sharing, donβt feel ashamed, as I said, most of us are just trying to get by!

Thanks Neha, am I going to see anymore accessibility interview questions soon? π€£π€£
Yes, there are in my draft and I worked on a new topic on accessibility too. Unfortunately, due to COVID 2nd wave impact in India, I was busy with family and friends. Started getting myself to work now.
Good stuff, I hope you and your family are OK in all the madness over there! Much β€ from the UK!
Thanks a lot to God...my family is safe but lost a few friends, relatives, and colleagues. Hopefully, this gets over soon. You take care
You too Neha, keep fighting the fight and stay safe!
If there is anything you disagree with in the article or anything you want to add (I am more than happy to add another reason to the list if someone comes up with a good one from a "selfish" perspective) then let me know!
This isn't going to work for you, I suggest you rethink your marketing strategy and speak to a marketing professional if you think this is the way to get good backlinks or get anyone to engage with you.
This is awesome! It's great to see lot's of people getting involved into making the web more accessible as it was meant to be.
Yeah it has been nice to see several posts on the subject. Almost makes me feel bad that I poked fun at awareness days π€£
A little humor is always welcome
Glad to hear, I always feel like I need the disclaimer as sarcasm and satire donβt always come across in the written word, especially with a global readership where English might be a second or even third language!
Thank you very much for sharing and I appreciate the information I will try to find out more.
For point 2.: Use svelte.js. You can still use a framework, but it will, being a compiler, use a lot less JavaScript or even none, depending on your implementation π
