Well it depends on the job you do. I don't think there's a hiring freeze now for oil&gas companies for instance. Or if you are working on military drone projects. I would even say companies that help people save the penny (like fintech ones) are not going to stop hiring.

I am just a dev with anecdotical evidence, so don't base your decisions over my opinion.
With that disclaimer this would be my method:
If there's a serious drop on those, then I would cling to my job.
If you have extra energy you can also start learning a new language or devops or something extra that can give you the edge.
Personally, maybe I'm naive or something, but I saw so many places recruiting, there was such labor shortage that even with these companies axing engineers and managers, those folks would be totally sucked up. But this is just my subconscious telling me. Again, might be as accurate than asking a fortune-teller. 🤔
