Bluewaters apartments at Bluewaters Island are one of the biggest new projects by Meraas Holdings. It is located off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) and Dubai Marina. Once completed, it will offer an ultimate waterfront living lifestyle in Dubai.
It is connected to the mainland with an overpass and a pedestrian bridge. The bridge offers stunning views of the Island and the skyline of the Dubai Marina and the forefront of the JBR beach. Those using private cars can access the island via the bridge that connects to Sheikh Zayed Road. This is one of the biggest highways in the city.
Soon, there will be a Group Rapid Transit (GRT) transport system that will connect the Island to other parts of the city. The system is expected to handle up to 5000 passengers per hour per direction. It will be one of the biggest systems in the world.
The 1.2 billion dollar Island is divided into three main areas. There is a residential area that features luxury apartments and a wide range of hotels and resorts. Also, there is a massive shopping area plus an entertainment area.
One of the most alluring features of the Island is Ain Dubai, the biggest Ferris wheel in the world at 700ft. It has 48 passenger cabins that take around 45 minutes to make a single round. When fully packed, the wheel can hold up to 1400 people.
There are two major resorts on the island owned by the Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino from Las Vegas. These hotels are the only ones in the chain without casinos. The first resort is the Caesars Palace Bluewaters which has 194 rooms, indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pools, health center, luxury spa and other amenities.
The second resort is known as Caesars Resort Bluewaters which is bigger than the first one. It is more family-oriented with 301 rooms, kids club, restaurants and bars. Both resorts share a 450-meter private beach and a club which has three pools, two restaurants and a large terrace.
Apart from the resorts, the Island hosts different types of properties. There are 698 luxury apartments known as the Bluewater Residences and 17 villas with private pools and a stunning view of the Arabian Sea. The price for the apartments starts from AED 1.8M.
Apart from Bluewaters Island, the Palm Jumeriah is also another ultimate waterfront living. In fact, it hosts some of the biggest celebrities in the world like the Beckham Family.
