Going broad or specific and deep in your knowledge and skills?

As I'm a person that's interested in a huge amount of different things (different development topics, design, marketing and other hobbies), I wonder what's your opinion on this? Rather stay specific and go deep in one topic to become an expert or widen your knowledge with whatever interests you? Or a mix of both ๐Ÿค”

In my opinion, and as I said I'm a person interested in many different things, even if it's maybe better to specialize career-wise, it just makes me really happy to learn new things and discover new stuff. I think that's probably more important. Plus I really believe having a broad knowledge these days can help you even if you're doing a more specific job for your living because you have a much better understanding on what's going on beyond your work.

I feel having basic knowledge about topics is Awesome... But yes, we must SPECIALIZE in 2 topics... Specialization gives us a advantage and we can be in the industry for long... Having less knowledge is risky as we may feel that we know it but practically we may not... Time is Limited Resource... Prioritize your interests and work on topics one by one... You will find a Specialization ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Totally understand your point of view ๐Ÿ˜Š
Just also feel like in these times and maybe in the future things will change quite dramatically thus maybe it's not bad to have a broad knowledge of how a lot of these new things work together, like proper online-marketing or how to use social media so it's working the best for you ...
