- Press Escape, this puts vim in "normal mode".
- write :q! to quit without saving.
- write :wq to quit while saving the file.
That's it. Vim is pretty cool and fast once you learn how to use it.

I saw a meme the other day that said something along the lines of, "if you want to generate a random string ask a windows user to exit vim."
I'm not a vim or vi expert. I've been wanting to learn, but it's been added to the queue of other things to learn. I'll give your video a go. Thanks!
