Your definition of good shouldn't be help those who help you alone or love your neighbors as you love yourself, you should be able to make a comprehensive difference between what you feel is good and what is actually good. Eric Douglas said, "you shouldn't make a choice for what you feel is good over what is actually good for you". If you are to make a great impact, you need to examine what you do, how you do it, and who are you doing it for. "people will tell two stories about you, so endeavor to make both stories good ones". Know that good thing you're doing and who you're doing it for. Doing good requires great effort and patience, doing good requires strong will and desire. If you're faced with a dillema, consider what will be the consequences of the choice you are about to make and what chances will it be that you wont make a wrong choice. "it is not about how good you are, it is what good are you doing", don't do good all because someone told you to, don't do good because you want people to recognize you, do good at the expense of your own will and desire to do so, and do it not for accolades but for the joy of it
