Friday is a difficult day for productive coding. There are so many factors that can disrupt your focus. Weekly meetings often take place, casual conversation interrupt you, or even just filling out the harvest report takes time. All of these factors, like hard disk fragmentation, decrease your ability to achieve a long period of focused coding.
What I did:
Today, I only spent one hour on a challenge. I had planned to complete the bookmark button with different states, but I only did a basic implementation. A very basic one. I need more time to fully implement this composable. I also think it would be fun to make this button more engaging, beyond just changing its state from one to another. I mean adding some animation to the icon, a ripple effect, haptic feedback, and perhaps some sound. It should encourage people to bookmark not just for saving interesting reads for the future, but because it feels satisfying when they add a new one. This sounds very interesting, like a good topic for a separate post with nice illustrations. I will add this idea to my to-do list.
What I will do:
- Add Detekt(a static code analysis tool) to the project.
- Update README file with description of project.
- Create a GitHub project to manage the tasks for future collaboration.
If you want to join the project, just leave a comment here, or write a message in LinkedIn.
