Today, we're going to get Node.js up and running on your computer. Here's how:
Download Node.js: Go to the official Node.js website (https://nodejs.org/) and download the version that's right for your computer. If you're not sure which one to choose, the LTS (Long-Term Support) version is usually a safe bet.
Install Node.js: Once the download is complete, open the installer and follow the instructions to install Node.js on your computer. It's a pretty straightforward process, just like installing any other software.
Verify Installation: After installation, open your command prompt (if you're using Windows) or terminal (if you're using macOS or Linux). Type the following command and hit Enter:
node -v
This command checks if Node.js is installed correctly and shows you the version number. If you see a version number printed out, congratulations! Node.js is installed on your computer.
