Quantum Algorithms on Classical Systems - A potential? | Draining

I've been exploring the fascinating world of high-dimensionality, particularly hypervectors. During this time, many projects have been created as exploratory tangents. I see a lot of potential in them, a beauty that stems not only from application but also its own fundamental maths(from signal processing to HDC to ML).

To start, take an abstract viewpoint where hypervectors are seen as waveforms. From there, let your mind run wild as I did.

The results from these projects have been incredibly satisfying. However, I am running into an issue where progress is not being made as fast as it once was, and I believe it is due to the tangential projects and lack of a target or end goal.

Two main projects are the tangents' roots; even tangentially, one's work occasionally applies to the other.

I'm posting because I'm losing my mind about the potential applications of everything I'm working on.

Is this a normal occurrence for someone?

Any response is appreciated!
