#hacktoberfest
Are you looking to contribute to an open source project in this Hacktoberfest ๐? or want to get started with latest technologies like VueJS & NuxtJS ๐ฅ?
We're developing hoppscotch.io, a web open source API request builder, and would love to count you as a contributor to improve our components & applications ๐
Don't forget to star the project.
hoppscotch / hoppscotch
Open source API development ecosystem - https://hoppscotch.io (open-source alternative to Postman, Insomnia)
3.7k+ stars on GitHub โข #2 product of the day on Product Hunt โข featured in Indie Hackers, Hacker news, Hacker noon, YouTube & open source dev podcast etc
Get started ๐
As the projectโs size grew quite a bit the past couple of weeks, you might ask yourself, where to get started ๐ค?
Meet the Technology Stack:
- HTML + CSS + JavaScript - for magic โจ
- NuxtJS: The Vue.js Framework - for wonder ๐
For the purpose of this first experience, I have selected the following 5 features which have to be implemented in our "core" functionalities with Nuxt.js (Vue.js).
Check out the issues tab for more ๐ or alternatively you can create new features (and prolly PRs ๐) or optimize any existing functions/routines.
Cherry on the cake ๐๐
Beside unlocking some karma points, you know what would be cool with your contributions ๐ค? All the improvements you'll submit will not only have effect to the components, but also they'll have an impact on open source dev community & be included in our live platform used by 2k+ users. Kind of cool to know that something you would develop will for sure be available in an online live application! isnโt it?
Hacktoberfest ๐
Support open source and earn a limited edition T-shirt! ๐ฅ
Rules:
To qualify for the official limited edition Hacktoberfest shirt, you must register and make four pull requests (PRs) between October 1-31 (in any time zone). PRs can be made to any public repo on GitHub, not only the ones with issues labeled Hacktoberfest. This year, the first 50,000 participants who successfully complete the challenge will earn a T-shirt.

Just wanted to say: awesome project :)
Thanks! Glad you liked it ๐
This looks similar to fetcher but ui is ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ.
Wow, I just went through fetcher. That's a cool thing ๐ฅ. Hope you could share your insights and experience on developing it. And hopefully add/port similar features to Postwoman ๐
Hoping you would surely contribute to Postwoman ๐
EDIT 0: Your "Generates Snippets" for
JavaScript Fetch
cURL
HTTP
C#
PowerShell
Java
are lit af ๐ฅ
would you mind adding those to Postwoman as well. We currently have JavaScript, cURL, and Fetch code generation.
I'm a new developer. Can you explain what api or your program does?
Hi friend,
Postwoman is not an API provider. It's a cross-platform, cross-device supported testing tool for API development. It's lightweight, fast and open sourced. It's a progressive web app with tons of features ๐
