Hello people, welcome to new article. In today’s article, I am going to talk about what is best time to learn new things. Let’s get started.
Why Most People Fail to Learn New Thing?
Before we move on to main point of this article, as a first step, you need to answer following questions:
- Why I fail to learn new things?
- Why I forget them after a while?
Those questions are kind of related. Let’s begin our discussion of first question.
Why You Fail to Learn New Things?
There might be multiple reason that can lead to this problem. In my point of view, most obvious one is distraction.
Distraction is the killer of everything. In today’s world, people easily get distracted with notification sounds from Instagram, Youtube, Facebook and other social media platforms.
I don’t use Instagram, Facebook or any other social media platforms except Youtube, Whatsapp, Telegram. I use Youtube to learn new things, sometimes I get distracted, the others are used for communication with my family, friends, coworkers.
Why You Forget Them After a While?
I hope you’ve already gotten rid of those distractions. I know it’s very difficult to do this right away, but you can use less each day than the day before.
Learning is not enough, you have to keep the information in your mind for a long time. If you can’t do this, all the time spent will be wasted.
The most simple and common method is spaced repetition. Spaced repetition is a learning technique where you review material and increasingly spaced intervals to improve long-term retention.
Recap your materials, knowledge with spaced intervals to keep them in your mind for a long time.
The other well known method is teach to somebody. Explain the concepts verbally or show them in practice.
These are the main things that I use frequently.
Best Time for Learning
We reach the main point of this article. Best time for learning. This time may vary from person to person. Based on my experience, I can say that for many people the best time to learn is in the morning. I rarely see, people who are very good at learning new things at night.
Here’s the table that can follow for your learning.
I recommend you to get up early as much as possible, because there are few distractions. Don’t get up after 9:00 AM, because it will be too late to study.
As I’ve mentioned before, this periods may vary person to person. I’ve test them all on me and my friends, and we end up with this table.
Conclusion
In this article,I share my best time periods for learning new things with you. I hope this will be useful for you.

As a kid I was never able to do my school homework in the evenings, I'd go to bed around 8.30pm then get up around 1am, do my homework ( 60-90mins ) then go back to sleep until 7.30am. I was so sharp at 1am after a few hours of sleep that I was able to really focus. I later found out that it was only the industrial revolution that forced us all to work "9-5" hours, prior to that weavers and other cottage industry trades people would just work and sleep when they felt like it. Humans beings actually function better when they work to their own schedule however that's not good for businesses and working, so we all have to work roughly 7-8 hours between 7am-7pm.
I usually get up around 4am, go out for a walk for about 45-60 mins, come home, shower, coffee and then I'm really fresh. The exercise helps me to clear out the thoughts about work projects, home stuff like repairs and jobs that need doing, the distractions are gone when I finally get to my desk around 5:30am, having cleared the clutter from mind I'm ready to focus for 1-2 hours.
Thanks for sharing your journey. I completely agree with you. I go to the gym in mornings and I feel amazing after workout.
