Thanks for your question, Medusa co-founder jumping in here.
Our focus is on building the world's best ecommerce platform for developers which is a shared goal with our investors. Later on, we will likely start generating revenue e.g. from making a hosted solution (e.g. Medusa Cloud) or similar which they will benefit from.
In any case, we are big believers in open source and we will never compromise the integrity of our OS project which we think is an essential part of building the best platform for developers.
