Background
Several days ago, I came across an answer from Quora that seemed to be AI-generated. There, an idea popped into my head.
What if I create an AI text detector that can even detect the paraphraser?
I'm going to create this. And I will call this detector MPDetector.
Example
Let's say I have a description of the 2022 FIFA World Cup generated by Bard.
Argentina won the 2022 FIFA World Cup, defeating France in the final on penalties after the match was tied 3-3 after extra time. The match was played on December 18, 2022, at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Lusail, Qatar. Argentina's victory was their third World Cup title, and their first since 1986. Lionel Messi was named the player of the tournament. The 2022 World Cup was held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022. It was the first World Cup to be held in the Arab world.
And now I paraphrased it with QuillBot.
Argentina defeated France in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final on penalties after the score remained at 3-3 after extra time. The game took place in the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Lusail, Qatar, on December 18, 2022. With this victory, Argentina won their third World Cup and first since 1986. The competition's player of the year award went to Lionel Messi. Qatar hosted the 2022 World Cup from November 21 to December 18, 2022. The Arab world hosted the World Cup for the first time.
MDetector would detect that the text was generated by Bard and paraphrased by QuillBot.
Possible?
Is it possible for an AI to detect both the AI text generator and the paraphraser?
Maybe. But it's undeniable that it will be a significant challenge, as I now need a huge amount of data collected from both the text generator and the paraphraser.
This is my first post, by the way.
