Technical Question Here:
How are you building your search pages?
A lot of websites are enabling tracking of ads through social media sites and search engines.
For example:
Google Click ID (gclid)
Microsoft Click ID (MSCLKID)
Facebook Click Identifier(fbclid)
I have a process that I am currently using, it is a bit flawed so I would love to gain some insight from developers.
So here are my question:
When a query parameter is added to your search page ... do you strip it out the URL or do you carry it forward to other links on the page?
I see that some websites do and some do not.
What are your thoughts on this?
Do you have a reason that supports your choice?
