Instead of using pure Docker, you can use something like DDEV, which is easier for those who don't understand Docker well.
It's not just that it's easier for people who don't understand docker, it's a community-supported resource that means every project you do will be using the same images. We use Ddev at my agency instead of our own previous Docker-wrapper (which was just a skeleton for a reverse proxy and database really) and things are easier to maintain now for people switching between projects.
