OpenSign v1.5.8 introduces new features including support for encrypted files and enhance completion certificate.

OpenSign has released the version v1.5.8! , This version introduces several new features, improvements and much more. Here is a summary of what's new in this version:

Major Features

1) Support for Encrypted PDF files, Images and DOCX files
In this version OpenSign has released the feature to support for the encrypted PDF, DOCX and Image files. The encrypted files are now automatically handled; there is nothing special you need to do, simply upload the encrypted file as your regular file and it will be automatically decrypted during upload.

2) Sending emails through the user's Gmail account
One more important feature OpenSign has released in this version is sending the signature request emails through user's own gmail address. This feature is designed to provide more personalized and trustworthy communication, ensuring that your messages are sent directly from your email address. This also ensures that the emails are delivered to the inbox of signers and avoid being marked as spam by spam filters.

3) Enhanced Completion Certificate Details
To enhance more transparency and traceability for document completion, we now include more comprehensive details such as Document originator details, all signers' signatures and time when the document was viewed or signed.

4) Email Verification Requirement for Signing
Users who have not verified their email addresses will now be prompted to verify their email before signing any documents. This measure ensures the authenticity and reliability of signers. If you are signing documents by logging into your account, this verification is needed to be done only once, for your first document.

5) Verify Email Link is added in profile
We have added an option to verify email from the profile page, making it easier than ever to verify your email address at any time. This enhancement simplifies the process of email verification and ensures users can quickly become verified and start signing documents without any interruptions.

How can I send OpenSign document signing request emails using my Gmail account?

Ans:- Configuring your Gmail account is very easy!

Just follow these steps:

After logging in to OpenSign, click the downward arrow that appears on the top right corner just beside your username
Select the console.
Log in to the console app.
Select mail from the menu.
Click 'Connect to Gmail account' and follow the guidelines displayed on the pop-up.
Note: This feature is only available for subscribed users.

What additional details are included in the completion certificate?

These details provide a complete audit trail and enhance the credibility of the completed documents.

Why do I need to verify my email before signing documents?
