After gathering data, UX designers create user personas that represent the user and their needs, helps designers understand the user's needs and design a product that meets those needs.User journey mapping
It involves the steps that a user takes to complete a task using the product used to identify areas of improvement.Wireframe creation
They are sketches of the layout of the product. It helps visualize the final product. It allows us to get a basic idea of the layout of any website.Prototyping
They are working models that allow designers to test the product and get feedback from users.User testing
This involves evaluating a product by testing it with users.
Key Design Principles
Hierarchy
Helps users move through a product easily.
Information architecture- This is how content is organized across the app or site. The top level is usually a primary navigation menu which you notice when you first open an app or arrive on a site.
Visualy hierarchy- Guides a user's eye to the most important elements on the page for example; headings are larger than body text, links and buttons use different colors.
Consistency
You should maintain uniformity in styles, patterns and interactive elements throughout the interface. It builds familiarity for the users.
Accessibility
This ensures that your product is accessible to many people as possible. This includes catering the needs of people with disabilities.
User-centricity
You should create products that solve users problems. You should must put the user's needs first and make decisions based on what you know about them and what they want from the product.
User control
This involves giving the user the right amount of control over how they interact with a product. This includes incorporating undo and redo functionality, providing cancel buttons and clearly labelling alternative actions and routes the user can take if they want to revert to a particular action.
