Hey guys! I'm using MacBook and I'm wondering if there is any cool external keyboard you'll suggest to use that works amazing with MacBook and soun...

I've built my own keyboard from scratch but not everyone wants to do that. Either way I strongly recommend a split keyboard. It's more comfortable and healthier. The Ergodox is quite good. I have a Kyria.
the Kyria is a gorgeous keyboard, I've searching for a long time already to bought the Corne keyboard, but I never find a place to bought the kit at a reasonable price :(
And here is a list of vendors where you can find a shop in your area. alexotos.com/keyboard-vendor-list/
Check out splitkb.com if you are from EU.
I saw one guy who uses a split keyboard and for me it's something unusual but I really want to try this someday, maybe it's more convenient than it actually looks 😄
Is there any good split cab with bluetooth? Was searching for it about year ago, there was none. Is there any news?
I'm also a huge fan of Ergodox and I use it at work. At home I use the R-Go Split Break. It is a very minimal split keyboard, almost in the style of a laptop keyboard. Very comfortable.
On top of the split I also love the ortholinear keebs with the vertical stagger. Ergodox is like that as well right? How is the RGo compared to the Ergo?
Ergodox has columnar layout (columns are straight, rows are not). Ergodox is pretty expensive, but worth it for the customizability. I love keybinds and shortcuts so the Ergodox gives me insane power without having to move my hands too far.
RGo is probably on the cheaper side of ergonomic keyboards. It's basically a laptop keyboard (low profile, membrane) but it's split. No extra functionality. It even has magnets so you can easily snap together the splits to make it a normal keyboard.
I'm a fan of fully split keyboards (not the "split but still one piece" like Microsoft ergonomic keyboard) so you can freely move around the two pieces. Both RGo and Ergodox are fully split (connected with cable).
I honestly would have preferred to have the Ergodox in style of RGo. I want the full customizability, layout, and thumb clusters of Ergodox, but without the big mechanical switches and clunky form factor. I actually prefer membrane keyboards. I think laptop keyboards are really nice, except that they are not split, which is probably why I like the RGo because it fills that role.
Thanks for the really good explanation 👍 I appreciate it
I like the Keychron K2
Keychron is the best. i have my K8, stock keycaps are pretty bad though, so i switched them for XDA profile PBT ones
Logitech MX Keys. Actually want a Nuphy Air 60, which would be fine in my home office, but using a mechanical keyboard in an open office is a bit antisocial imo. They make a lot of noise.
It's nice to see people that care about others in the office. Because sometimes I want to buy a silent mouse as a gift 😂
Hahaha I can totally relate
Bought an Anne Pro 2 five years ago, still going strong.
Same. Anne pro teaam
Well... Another team 😍 It looks amazing 👍
Logitech G915 here. But I do love to rotate between that and my Logitech Ergo K860 and believe it or not, the Apple Magic keyboard (love the chiclet keys).
I was thinking about using Apple Magic keyboard, but haven't bought it yet. At least it should be well supported by MacBook 😂
Yup. Using it here on a Windows machine myself. :)
I have a Das Keyboard standard edition with UK layout. Ideally I wanted the Ultimate edition which differs in that the keys are blank (to help stop you from looking down when touch typing), but couldn't get one in the UK at the time.
I love it, it's the best keyboard I've ever used. The action and travel is absolutely dead on, and it's rock solid. Was expensive at just over £100, but well worth it.
It looks beautiful with the blank keys. Love it 😍
I'm now using a Keebio FoldKB because the kit was on sale, and I put it together on the cheap (relatively speaking as the keyboard hobby is $$$$) while I wait for my Keyboardio Model 100 to get built and shipped.
It's the first time I've used a split keyboard or an ortholinear keyboard, and I must say I like both a lot.
I'm a huge fan of the venerable IBM Model M.
I'm currently using the Unicomp Mini M, which is an 80% keyboard. I don't need or use the 10-key, I prefer to have the mouse closer to the keyboard.
Historical footnote: IBM spun off its keyboard to Lexmark. Lexmark spun off its keyboard to Unicomp. The Unicomp Model M keyboard is the Model M, which has been upgraded from PS/2 mini-DIN connector to USB connector.
Thanks for sharing not only the keyboard you love, but the story around it too ❤️ It's so nice to see people who love they keyboard that much 👍
I use the Logitech Ergo K860 keyboard and love it.
It feels very comfortable and comes with labeled keys for Mac and Windows (Option and Start keys are included for example). Also, my Logitech M510 mouse connects with my Logitech Ergo K860 keyboard so I only need to use one USB-A wireless receiver.
Basically I'm a huge Logitech fanboy! Their products work very well with Macs.
I am using Logitech , best among all others.. you should try this one...... Vashikaran Specialist in Pimpri Chinchwad
I use the inbuilt keyboard but I have always wanted to get a Keychron K3.
Wow... It's beautiful 👍 Hope it sounds amazing too...
good ol' magic keyboard. I've been wanting to build a custom for a while now, hopefully I will in a few months.
I've never done it before but it seems like something interesting. Maybe I should try as well 😂
I was using a Cooler Master sk621 (strange azerty ISO-fr layout 60% to accomodate arrow keys) until very recently. Personnaly, I don't use the numpad and the function row very often. So the format is perfect for me. I won't shrink to a real 60% layout, as I use arrow keys all the time. The keys are cherry mx silent red, so linear keys with no click sound. And the keycaps are flat. I do prefer flat keycaps, as in the mac environment.
Unfortunately, it died recently. Some keys I use every time for shortcut are not responding anymore. Perfect time to upgrade. I chose a Keychron k6 (qwerty ISO-uk 65% layout). I need some adaptation time, because of the different layout. But overall, the keyboard is way better. The switches are gateron red, so still linear and silent but with a lighter accentation force. I quite like that. It's also more silent and "thockier" than the Cooler Master, maybe it's due to a lube thing or the chassis construction.
I immediately ordered a k7 (qwerty ISO-uk 65% layout), which has flat keycaps and is really thin. Apple magic keyboard thin like. I could not recommand it enough for your usage
Thank you for sharing your experience ❤️
I'm looking for an extra keyboard. Do you have some idea for a quiet one with numpad ? (I got a mechanical one, and my roomate will go crazy when I dev night long😅)
I want to get something that sounds great but not distract people around me 😂
I'm using a 40% or Planck
Keychron K2. It's increible!
i'm using Keychron K2 v2 with brown switch and XDA profile keycaps
I have a Razer - BlackWidow V3 Pro but looking for recommendations for a split keyboard!
Team split
I'm using a Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition TKL <3
Magic Keyboard for the office, Keychron K6 for remote.
Apple did an amazing job with the new Macbook pro keyboard!! Love using it so much!!
Their butterfly keyboard.....?? IMO, 👎👎👎.
I'm a huge fan of Ducky SF keyboards, but they do not cater to Mac users. However, they provide software that lets you remap keys. All you would need from there is a handful of Mac keycaps.
I use my trusty Ducky Shine 3. Gladly I find way to reset what apple thinks my keyboard is.
Second is Anne Pro 2, I should try to get used with my big hands.
I've tried a lot of keyboard and finally I found it. My end game keyboard is Realforce R2 Silent.
Nuphy AIR75, low budget, hot-swappable, up to 3 bluetooth devices, type-c and dongle. Very satisfied! Low expectations, good result. Battery life is a little bit short!
I would personally prefer Keychron K10. It's a full size wireless Mechanical Keyboard.
I'm really impressed to see how many people actually use split keyboards 😍 I think I have to try this someday
Go, Team Ergo!
