Great name (although I actually thought it was "useless divs" which I like even more! π€£)...you have a few minor accessibility issues though so you might want to squash them given the topic. π
Focus indicators on your social icons are too dark due to opacity (and I think the icons may not have enough contrast).
Your DEV SVG has
role="img"
on it that needs removing (and the text updating as it says "My github profile"!). You should also addaria-hidden
to your SVGs just as a good practice. Finally on your posts the "read more" in addition to the article title means there are two links going to the same place causing unnecessary duplication, perhaps make the whole article a hyperlink or just remove the "read more".
As I said super minor, love the colour scheme, design, name etc!
Looking forward to seeing your articles on there!
p.s. a blog about accessibility and you aren't using the
a11y
tag on DEV? I know it gets low traffic but it would be much better thanbeginners
and get the right people interacting with your content!p.p.s. Followed you on Twitter as I presume you will announce posts on there!
Thank you very much for your feedback, it really means a lot to me.
I will fix the mentioned issues later today. Some of them was already on my list, but the problems with the svg-s are new to me, so I think I will learn something new today. ;)
I followed you back on twitter and yes, I will announce every new posts there.
The "useless"-"use less" pun was intended. :)
Have a great day!
As I said, looking forward to seeing what you write! β€
uselessdivs is a nice, catchy URL
Keep going!
Thanks, Christian, I'm glad that you like it :)
