Adding the RSS Feed Functionality

Create a new RSS feed by creating the file utils/rss.ts

Testing the RSS Feed

This doesn't work for running in prod mode. The public folders content is not available at request time hence if the rss feed xml file isn't available at build time it won't be accessible and any updates to it won't be available. The xml file should therefore be stored elsewhere than in public
Each time you publish a new blog article, it creates a new build that includes the latest changes. Therefore your rss feed stays up to date. it is a static file so it makes sense to let it in the public folder.
You are building your next app every time you post a blog? Thats a very expensive operation to run every time you want to post or update a blog article I would think? I solved it by serving the rss feed in a standalone nextjs api which has been working nicely.
It depends on the number of posts. But if you host it on Vercel, as they have cache, the deployment is pretty fast.
