Book Presentation Workflow

This is a submission for the Coze AI Bot Challenge: Trailblazer.

What I Built

This workflow creates a content for a slide presentation on a book by accepting a book title from the user.

Starting with the inputted book title, the workflow attempts to create a summary of the book's content with multiple bulletpoints. This summary with bulletpoints is then utilized by multiple LLMs and images generators to create multiple sets of notes and images that can be used to build the individual slides of the book presentation. Another LLM uses the book summary to find a suitable quote that can be conclusion or summary of the book presentation.

This is a great bot for people who would like to share what they have read with an audience through a 3 to 20 minute-long speech with an accompanying slide presentation. In my own experience, I give 1 to 3 speeches of this style to a public speaking club every month. This workflow would be able to save me 1 to 3 hours of work per speech by summarizing the book and assembling the materials for the slide presentation.

Journey

I had been looking for AI tools to help me organize my education and reading materials. There are many AI tools out there, but Coze was very easy to use compared to the others that I have tried. Its UI/UX interface and the separation of tools/abilities were intuitive to work with.

I first worked with Coze at the Hacker Dojo event on April 27, 2027. Within an hour, I already had a working bot with multiple interconnected skills and the outline of this complex workflow. The workflow expands on the idea of the Book Report App but links far more output content.

Problems I encountered included not understanding how to use the multiple bulletpoints as individual prompts to create a matching image and detailed notes on that bulletpoint. The batch job setup of the LLMs and the Image Generator widgets seemed to be able to accept an array of text, but it seemed to break during operation with an error message about the server. I was not clear if this error was a real problem on the server or if I had exceeded the token bounds or operation bounds on my account.

For the future, I would like to expand the input options from a single book title to the option of uploading the book in a pdf file. This expanded input option would allow me to organize more recently published books and content that might not be known to the LLMs.

I would very much like to use this workflow in the future to reduce my work and increase my productivity. I hope to work with the Coze documents and staff to fix the batch processing problem that I encountered (which is documented above).
