I don't see developers randomly getting displaced by our new AI overlords, but I do think that, in some situations, being able to effectively utilize Copilot will be a very valuable skill.
As an idea, I think that Copilot encourages developers to think on a more macro level. There's a perspective on this where you could almost consider Copilot another advancement in ""scripting"".
