A silly metaphor I came up with for feedback a while ago is likening it to having chunks of gold/coins thrown at you. Owch. But pick up those coins and put them to use as they're quite valuable. Feedback does tend to hurt, especially when delivered even slightly less than perfectly, but just being calm an seeing the wood for the trees is a good way forward.
Heads up: As with any terse bit of advice, there will be exceptions of course, and subtleties and nuance that can't possibly be captured in a Byte of Wisdom. This has been what I've experienced, I'd love to hear yours in the comments too!
