In my previous post-https://dev.to/scofieldidehen/the-dark-side-of-aiagi-2914, I talked about how AI will be the new frontier of global destabilization.
The current wars highlight the impact of AI in our lives, from Israel developing Lavanda, an AI tagging system that pinpoints alleged Hamas terrorists to the United States having over 800 AI programs currently focusing on building military AI-assisted software and hardware.
China running an AI undersea tagging system around the China Sea to Ukraine asking for more AI drones to target Russia's position.
Everyone is rearming themselves with the assistance of AI.
As users of the elementary, useful aspect of AI, we are sometimes in denial of the true existential threat AI now poses.
Some schools of thought have argued that AI itself is not the problem but how we use it.
Yes, I agree but we said the same things about the nuclear program and the atomic bombs and here we are hoping some edgy leaders don't press the red button.
I think something has to give like mutual defence pact as we are getting to a point of no return.
The power of AGI in human interelation has still not been fully outlined.
While strong arguments exist that the good outweighs the bad, I guess our future generation would be the best decider of such but for now we can only pray and wait.
