I am so thrilled to have acquired my first client! It can be quite a funny and awkward situation when you're either approached by a customer or when you're the one making the initial contact. Reflection on this experience may be helpful – I encourage you to share your own experiences with your client in a friendly manner. Don't be afraid to express yourself!

I was very surprised to get a message from Fiverr - they said they wanted me to develop a social media application. It really couldn't have come at a worse time, as I had an exam just two days later, so I explained the situation and thought that was it - surprisingly though, Fiverr weren't deterred and kept asking me to keep in touch. Even though I was a bit hesitant, I couldn't turn down what might be my first client, so I sent them a few messages. Eventually, we agreed that I would design the file and I was rewarded for my hard work with a few bucks!
