I wanted to share a real story that’s been on my mind lately, and I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
A close friend of mine, an experienced developer working at a reputed MNC, recently found himself in a difficult situation:
- The company started implementing advanced AI tools to automate parts of the development process.
- My friend was told that his role would be significantly reduced because of AI automation.
- He had two options:
- Accept a lower salary to continue working in a reduced capacity.
- Resign and look for new opportunities elsewhere.
This really shook me. It raises a question that we, as developers, can't ignore:
Will AI eventually replace software jobs entirely, leaving us with no choice but to adapt or step aside?
