Call to JSF servlet externally

Hi Champs,
We have a JSF application built on JSF1.2.
Can we call JSF servlets(FacesServlet) from external world like we can call a java servlet or a rest api get call from any web app or web client?
We do not want to big changes to existing JSF application.

Your help will be much appreciated.
