If you’re working with Model Context Protocol, you’ll need MCP servers for different types of data — IDEs, calendars, docs, databases, etc. These MCPs let AI agents like goose interact with your external tools in smart, secure ways.
I see a lot of folks asking "is there an MCP server for fill-in-your-fav-tool". The good news is there are a few directories that make it super easy to find what you’re looking for. I like to call them my MCP Toy Stores 😄 They’re where I go to browse, explore, and grab new stuff to play with. Here are my favorites:
- Glama gives each server a little report card, which I love. On here, I can quickly tell at a glance if an MCP is secure and of good quality.
- PulseMCP has a super clean layout, tons of servers, and great filters, including one for official providers. Some listings even have use case examples, which is always a nice touch.
- MCP GitHub is the official list from Anthropic, the authors of the MCP spec. It includes servers they've implemented themselves as well as a few community built ones, but fair warning — this list is not as actively maintained as the others.
If you have any favorite MCP directories, feel free to share in the comments 🧸✨
