Python is an interpreted programming language, easy to learn, and popular. A python code needs an interpreter to be executed, or can be transformed to executable.
Python is easy but if not good to develop an advanced program that require a big CPU utilization. It is perfect if you want to create an editor or a tool. But if you want to create a game I not recommend you this programming language.
Finally, Python if a popular and easy to learn interpreted programming language but is not good to code a game or a program that require a big CPU utilization.
