I recently achieved a significant milestone in my career—passing the AWS SAP-C02 exam. The road to this achievement was anything but straightforward. If you're someone who has ever felt unsure about your abilities or struggled with confidence, my journey might resonate with you.
When I first started preparing for the AWS SAP-C02 exam, I was overwhelmed. The breadth of content and complexity of the services felt daunting. My confidence was low, and I often found myself second-guessing my answers while taking practice tests. I vividly remember staring at questions, unsure of which answer was correct. It was a frustrating experience that made me question if I was truly cut out for this.
However, I refused to let these initial setbacks define my journey. I realized that my success depended on a solid strategy and diligent preparation. Here’s how I turned my preparation around and ultimately succeeded:
1.Intensive Review of Test Papers: I immersed myself in various practice exams. Repeatedly working through these questions not only familiarized me with the exam format but also highlighted areas where I needed more focus. Each practice test was a learning opportunity, and over time, I became more adept at recognising the correct answers.
I would highly recommend go through Stephane Marrek and neal Davis test papers.
2.Creating Rough Notes: To reinforce my understanding, I started compiling rough notes on each AWS service and its applications. Writing down key points helped me internalize the details and clarify concepts. These notes became a valuable resource for quick reviews and for solidifying my grasp on various topics.
For example Aws Service catalog, Iot green grass , SES , Glue etc
3.Understanding Service Functions: Instead of rote memorisation, I focused on understanding what each AWS service does and its specific use cases. This approach helped me see the bigger picture and how different services interrelate. By grasping the underlying concepts and purposes of these services, I was better equipped to answer scenario-based questions on the exam.
Mostly focus on the keywords like least operational , most effective before getting into options .
4.Consistent Revision and Practice: My study plan included regular revision sessions. I revisited my notes and practice exams frequently to ensure that the information stayed fresh in my mind. This consistent effort was key to building my confidence and improving my performance.
Focus on weak links.
The journey was challenging, but the sense of accomplishment I felt upon passing the AWS SAP-C02 exam was worth every moment of struggle. For anyone currently preparing for a similar certification, remember that persistence and a structured approach can turn uncertainty into success.
Embrace the process, focus on understanding the material deeply, and don’t be afraid to seek out additional resources or support if needed. Your hard work will pay off, and you’ll come out stronger on the other side.
