Azure, when it started back in 2009, announced in Professional Developer Conference (PDC) 2009 by then the boss Amitav Srivastava. All it contained are total three services: Web/Worker Role, Storage, Database. All of them were 100% PaaS. Industry was not ready for it. Then the demand was to have Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and eventually Microsoft had introduced it. Now Azure has more services than we can remember. PaaS is the way for many organizations today due to its obvious benefits. In this series I plan to cover some of the most important Azure PaaS. Hope this will be helpful and share your thoughts and feedback.
