Imagine one day you wake up and find out your system flooded with ads. Ads everywhere on screen. The same happened with me few days back.
My window defender kept notifying me every minute of high level threat Adware.Win32. It was like a nightmare. I am a very organized person according to me.
You can imagine the situation.
On Internet you find link to this software Adware Removal . It does identify and clean your adware but it does not find where they are located. Adwares are tricky in a way that they hides themselves among various files. It is not possible to find them manually. Adware removal software does find them but only the copies of them and the real remain intact.
So let's find the solution. After going through few YouTube videos and reading tens of article . I was able to removed the adware. Let me tell you how.
NOTE- I only tried the free adware removal software
So after scanning my system with software in the link above, i tried the Offline Microsoft Defender Scan and it worked like miracle.
The Adware was gone.
Solution:
So if you are encountering same problem. This is two Step process
- Download the software mentioned above.
- Run the offline Microsoft Defender Scan.
Please Save all your work before performing this
Select Start , and then select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection .
On the Virus & threat protection screen, do one of the following:
- In an up-to-date version of Windows 10: Under Current threats, select Scan options.
- In previous versions of Windows: Under Threat history, select Run a new advanced scan.
- Select Microsoft Defender Offline scan, and then select Scan now.
After scanning Windows will restart.
Future Protection:
Use only known sites to download.
Use only trusted extensions as they mainly contains adware.
