#codepunk 017: What are Progressive Web Apps
In this episode, we wonder if Michael's twins have become the official mascots of the show. Also, we have some early thoughts on the Blade Runner sequel, as both a movie and an entry in the cyberpunk genre. On topic, we discuss the emergence of progressive web apps (PWA) as the natural evolution of hybrid apps, and why PWA's--if supported by all browsers--could replace the walled gardens of mobile operating systems. With Chrome, Firefox, and Edge all on board, and Microsoft adding PWA support to the Windows Store, it seems like a good bet--or at least a worthy topic to explore.
